In this 4k guitar tutorial I'll show you how to play a Muted Guitar Strum Pattern with a Tie. Get your free 20 Most Important Strum Patterns For Guitar at https://www.rocklikethepros.com
The 4 guitar chords for this strumming tutorial are Emin - C - G - D.
There are chord diagrams in the video to help you learn these chords if you don't know them.
The strum pattern is going to be all eighth notes but there will be a tie on the "+ of beat 2." The tie is essentially a hold which is why you have 2 Up Strums in the middle of the strum pattern.
The strum pattern is D U D U U D U.
D = Down Strum
U = Up Strum
The mute will come on beat 2 which will be a down stroke.
You will play the E minor chord for 2 measures, the C chord for 1 measure and then the G and D chord in the last measure.
Because the last measure has 2 chords, the G and the D, you will play D U D on the G chord and then U U D U for the D chord.
This measure is the toughest measure in the entire guitar chord progression.
